Nani (born November 17 1986)

NaniNani is the latest outstanding talent to be produced by Sporting’s seemingly endless conveyor belt of world-class wingers. The same system that produced Luis Figo, Simao, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma appears to have unearthed another sensation capable of attaining the heights of such exalted company. >> Full Nani Profile >>

Bebe (born July 2 1990)

One of the biggest transfer stories of the summer in 2010 involved almost unknown forward Tiago Manuel Dias Correia leaving Vitoria Guimaraes to join English giants Manchester United. The 20-year-old, who goes by the nickname 'Bebe' had only moved to Guimaraes from third tier Estrela da Amadora a matter of weeks earlier on a five-year contract. However, such was the extent to which he impresses in pre-season, talk of a bid from Real Madrid surfaced in early August. It would prove to be Old Trafford, however, that would be Bebe's destination, as United swooped in to sign the forward before he had even represented Vitoria in a competitive match.

A call-up to the Portugal under-21 side followed at the end of August 2010, adding to what has been a quite remarkable rags to riches story. The son of Cape Verdean immigrants, Bebe was raised by his grandmother until the age of 12, when he was moved to an orphanage, where he lived until just prior to signing for one of the world's most famous football clubs.
