Falkirk complete Pele signingDefender agrees terms in Scotland![]() The 31-year-old was released by West Bromwich Albion following their relegation from the Premiership last season, and had been training with the Bairns in a bid to earn a contract at Falkirk Stadium. "I knew of him as a player, he was recommended and I have now seen him with my own eyes in the last few days," said Falkirk manager Eddie May. "He has a good pedigree and with the quality he's got, if he can get himself a little bit fitter I'm sure he will be a valuable and experienced addition to our squad. He has said he feels very settled at the football club and he likes what he has seen." Pele will be the third Portuguese player on Falkirk’s books, with striker Pedro Moutinho and midfielder Vitor Lima, both of whom are in their second spells at the club, already in central Scotland.
