Portugal Global – South Africa

Strong Portuguese presence makes itself felt in South Africa

South Africa flagContinuing our series about Portuguese fans from all around the globe, Portuguese-born South African resident Helga Classen says she still believes Portugal can go all the way in this World Cup.

My name is Helga Monteiro Classen. I was born in Portugal but I live in South Africa. I can tell you there is a very high level of excitement here, and Portugal is one of the favourite teams at the World Cup.
Many fans watch the games at home or fan parks or restaurants. I recommend Manelitos in Boksburg and the Portuguese Catholic church in Brentwood park, also the fan village at Birchwood hotel in Boksburg.
A lot of Portuguese football is shown in South Africa, especially if you have dstv with the Portuguese channels.
As for who will win the World Cup and how far will Portugal get? PORTUGAL WILL WIN!!!
