Luis Miguel sacked by Pacos de FerreiraPoor run of results costs coach his job![]() In eight Liga matches, Miguel managed just one victory and one draw, losing the other six games. The coach leaves disappointed but on good terms having reached a friendly agreement to rescind his contract.
“I want to thank the president, who always gave me his backing. It was an honour to coach this club, which will always be in my heart,” said Miguel. “The only thing that was lacking was the results, because I was given excellent conditions to work.
“I sincerely hope Pacos start getting better results and I would like to thank the players for the effort they showed.”
The northerners are now seeking their third coach in 2011/12. Rui Vitoria began the season in charge but left to take over at Vitoria Guimaraes in August. Pacos president Carlos Barbosa says the club is working hard to find a replacement as soon as possible.
