North Korea players go missing

Quartet not on team roster for match against Brazil

north korea national team.jpgThe World Cup is always a fascinating tournament as it constantly supplies moments of drama, genius and the absurd as FIFA have no idea of the whereabouts of four North Korean players.

Kim Myong, Kim Kyonh II, Na Chol and Pak Sung Hyok have literally disappeared as the four where nowhere to be found when North Korea took to the field in their Group G opener against the five-time champions Brazil.

A spokeperson from FIFA has admitted that they are also in the dark as to where the players could be because no one form North Korea has relayed the status of the players in question.

No comments or statements have been issued from the North Korea camp and the location of the four will remain a mystery until then.

Capital Punishment
22 Saturday, 19 June 2010 04:09
Latest these 4 were sent back to the DPRK for capital punishment due to their poor performance in training and matches. The sole reason Jong Tae See was bawling like a baby the other night.
NKs go missing

They have probably jumped ship or been caught jumping and sent back to the firing squad. And the bullets that will be used to shoot them will be made in the U.S.A. Why? Because there`s a buck to be made.

I don`t blame them for wanting to leave, with a ass-hole of a government like Nth Korea has. And they will be happy the WC isn`t being held in the USA, because that would be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

NK's can't emigrate or they'll be considered traitors. They must risk their lives and defect and if they're successfull their family's lives may be put in danger.
Not true

I read on another article that missing players were false, so this is not a problem anymore.
What America?
18 Friday, 18 June 2010 20:02
The Americas are two continents guys..... The United states resides in North America. Americans come from both continents. Anyway, if I were them then I would bolt too.

16 Friday, 18 June 2010 17:27

15 Friday, 18 June 2010 17:07

The game
14 Friday, 18 June 2010 16:36
Let's keep our mind on the game and the Seleccao!
Save them, Great Leader!
13 Friday, 18 June 2010 15:57
No way these guys would defect, the DPRK represents the zenith of human civilation! I'm sure they've been kidnapped by the evil American pig-dogs and are being force fed Fruit Loops and Ho-Hos as we speak...

To the aholes talking trash about the USA: I got a big fat one for u to suck on. The NK's must be living in a crap hole of a country for them to have done this and all u think about is yourself. Shame on you. You wouldn't fight anyway you cowards. Let's talk football!
It probably is our fault
11 Friday, 18 June 2010 15:40
I just assume everything bad is the fault of the U.S., or we had some indirect hand in it. Our government is a joke. Our two parties are equally worthless. All we do is **** on everyone else in the world when it's none of our damn business. To those who say "well, it's the government, not the people". No, it's the people too. Until we're slightly less retarded and willing to elect politicians outside of the two do-nothing parties (which we never will) then the downward trend will continue.
Sure blame all the Americans
10 Friday, 18 June 2010 15:31
I find it amazing that the rest of the world just loves to blame the whole of America for all their problems. It is not the country as a whole you idiots, its the government. But lets just ignore that and continue to sling mud at the entire population. Yeah, that's the ticket!

@John in Canada....were you dropped as a child?
South Korean immigration
9 Friday, 18 June 2010 15:22
"South Korea should allow immigrants from the DPRK"

Because it's South Korea that's keeping people from running at full speed from the DPRK? Even though South Korea accepts all refugees that make it out?
Missing
8 Friday, 18 June 2010 14:56
Err, missing = defected folks.
Free North Korea?
7 Friday, 18 June 2010 14:46
I agree that this is hardly a surprise. The Free North Korea comment sounds very "American". The last thing the world needs right now is for the USA to start bringing their recent brand of "democracy" to more of the world.

South Korea should allow immigrants from the DPRK and the Americans should mind their own business!
Free North Korea?
6 Friday, 18 June 2010 14:43
Yes, 'Liberate' them like you've liberated 'the Iraq' and 'the Afghanistan'.
I know
5 Friday, 18 June 2010 14:18
check the south korean embassy
Bzzz
4 Friday, 18 June 2010 13:47
I imagine if North Korea sent citizens to the World Cup in South Africa, they would be begging to go home. Vuvuzelas in a giant ass stadium would scare the shit out of them. They would think Kim Jong Il was telling them the truth about everything and the rest of the world is crazy.
Free North Korea
3 Friday, 18 June 2010 13:40
The world needs to know that North Korea has the world cruelest and harshest regime on the planet. Lets hope we can free North Korea
hah?
2 Friday, 18 June 2010 11:28
how weird this news....because south africa is not a bermuda triangle
Not surprised
1 Friday, 18 June 2010 11:25
These guys are slaves in NK. That's why NK doesn't allow any fans to go to the world cup since the would likely not come back to their country.
