We will be made to work - Faquira

Olha boss compares team to gazelles

DautoFaquira20080519.jpgOlhanese will have a stern test waiting for them when they face Sporting at the Alvalade and nothing less than 100% effort will ensure a good result according to Dauto Faquira.

Faquira is under no illusions that the Algarve-based outfit will go to Sporting's ground and dictate how the game will be played, but admits that a draw will be a very successful achievement.

"If we go to the Alvalde and manage to get a draw, it will be positive," confessed Faquira. "I'm realistic and will not say that we want the three points."

"In Africa we say that the gazelle knows it has to run away from the lion and the lion knows it has to run after the gazelle in order not to die of hunger. We, just like Sporting, will have to run a lot and work hard."

Faquira will not be able to count on the services of of Fernando Alexandre as the defensive midfielder is out with an injury.

Josh mate I appreciate your opinion, but put it in this context, it is like West Brom going to play Man Utd! West Brom are not probably going to win but a draw will be succesful! I know what you mean, you mean that you should never settle for a draw! Anyway it was a draw so it worked!
ugly attitude

Unless 1 point guarantees you a championship, you never play for a draw, only to win. Atleast thats the way i see it no matter what im doing.

If i was in charge of Olhanense this guy would be fired on the spot, call me strict, but settling for a draw before a ball is kicked is no way to play, and wont prove to be much entertainment for the fans who turn up.
