Nani scores as United heldStoke City 1-1 Manchester United![]() The champions came into the game having won all five of their opening league matches, and things looked good for United when Nani gave them a half-time lead at the Britannia Stadium. The former Sporting man exchanged passes with Darren Fletcher before beating Asmir Begovic with a low left-footed finish. Match highlights:It was Nani’s second goal in a week, having scored against Chelsea last Sunday, but it would not prove to be enough as Stoke recovered in the second half and drew level through Peter Crouch’s header. United, who could have snatched all three points in injury time when Ryan Giggs failed to convert Nani's excellent cross, now lead city neighbours Manchester City on goal different at the top of the table, with both sides on 16 points from six matches played. |
