Bischoff gaining more admirers

Player's agent claims other Portuguese clubs interested

Amaury BischoffSporting is not the only club showing interest in Arsenal midfielder Amaury Bischoff. The player’s agent, Pascal Granier, has claimed that FC Porto and Benfica have also entered into the race in to possibly sign the Portuguese U21 starlet.

The Arsenal midfielder arrived from Werder Bremen last summer and signed a one-year deal with the Gunners. The London club has yet to offer a deal to renew, with the French-born player now having to consider his options.

Bischoff had revealed that he would be keen on a move to Sporting, should an approach be made. Granier has confessed that Sporting have asked about his client, but that the Lions are not the only team in the hunt for the 21-year-old.

“There has been contact, but it was a normal conversation. Amaury’s contract will end and they asked for information,” admitted Granier to A Bola.

“FC Porto and Benfica have also made enquiries. I think they have observed him for some time.”

“Clubs are preparing for next season and if Sporting are interested, we can talk. But for now everything is just superficial.”
