Rio Ave 2-1 Braga

Portuguese start-up launches next-generation live score app

footytwits.jpgFootyTwits (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.footytwits) is a Portuguese startup focused on bringing live score apps to the next level. The concept is simple: select a team and get a realtime stream of tweets related to that team. The app goes beyond the regular hashtag mentions. Each team has 20 to 25 keywords which are related to it and keywords are updated regularly according to daily news and events.

Apart from that, FootyTwits does what other regular live score apps do: live score notifications, player information and easy access to each team's past results and future calendar. Many more exciting features are on the way and the app is a work-in-progress.

For now, the app is only available for Android but we hope to develop an iOS version in the first quarter of 2014. We would love to get your feedback so we can make this app even better.

As a last note, we are trying to get Cristiano Ronaldo as an ambassador for our app. We know it is an ambitious goal, but as a Portuguese startup in the world of football, we have to dream! You can help us by giving a simple retweet here:

The Eagles will meet Braga who made light work of overcoming Beira-Mar at the AXA. The other semi-final will be between FC Porto and Rio Ave, who made it to the last four thanks to single-goal victories over Vitória Setúbal and Marítimo respectively.
